25 Jul Telephone upgrades at Clayton and Dandenong
Monash Health is replacing its old and outdated telephone systems at Dandenong Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.
As a result, IT will be upgrading most existing phone handsets at these sites to newer phones where required. Patient handsets will not be changed.
The changeover will occur at Dandenong Hospital from 28 July – 12 August, and at Monash Medical Centre Clayton from 22 August to 14 September, but excludes patient handsets and Monash Children’s Hospital, which is not affected by these works.
Staff from Monash Health IT and our supplier will be at these sites during the changeover to replace older telephone handsets with newer handsets where required. During the physical changeover the extension will be unavailable for up to 5 minutes while the new phone is installed, and the extension number migrated to the new telephone system.
Disruption to patient phones should be minimal.
