07 Oct Resourcing Excellence
At Monash Health, our focus is to always provide excellent care for the community we serve.
Similarly to all public health services in this current climate, as our community grows, and their needs change, we must ensure we look for ways to manage our resources wisely to enable the best value care and benefits for our patients.
We have a committed, dedicated, and highly skilled workforce, and we want to maximise your opportunity to deliver the service standards we know you are capable of. This will require responsible stewardship of our funding to take every opportunity we can to attract the best people, and equip them to deliver quality patient experiences.
An exciting new program called ‘Resourcing Excellence’ has commenced at Monash Health that will give us the confidence that we are operating at optimal levels across all aspects of the organisation.
As one of Victoria’s largest health services, even things that seem inconsequential, such as the procurement of printing paper or gloves, can have a big impact if sourced effectively.
Resourcing Excellence is a journey of improvements, both big and small that will collectively benefit Monash Health patients.
Initiatives have been developed in consultation with clinical and clinical support leaders. These have been endorsed by the Monash Executive and are ready for planning and implementation to begin. Of course, as part of our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, you are encouraged to raise ideas with your manager, or directly with Rebecca Carlton, Director Transformation email@example.com.
The initiatives fall into four broad categories; Employee Support and Self-Service, Surgical Excellence, Best Value from Vendors and Specialist Clinics Optimisation.
You will be involved in the success of these initiatives, as your leaders roll them out over time, and we will all have a part to play in Resourcing Excellence.
I’m looking forward to sharing this journey with you and giving regular updates of our successes soon.
