Nephrology nurses showcase their success in New Zealand

Monash Health nephrology nurses from various sites showcased an enormous amount of work at the recent Renal Society of Australasia Conference held in Auckland. The nurses contributed 15 poster presentations and one oral presentation aimed at addressing the conference theme, ‘Asking the hard questions’.
Congratulations to our 2 prestigious conference award winners:
Donna MACWAN – Environmental Research Prize – Poster (Pictured below)
“Going green in a dialysis unit: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”.
This prize was awarded to encourage research into green practice in nephrology and dialysis services.
Edward ZIMBUDZI – RSA Award – Victorian Branch (Pictured below)
This award is given to the Victorian Nephrology nurse who has demonstrated the highest standard of nephrology nursing practice and has shown outstanding contribution and commitment to the RSA / renal community at a local and international level.
We are proud of our nephrology nurses at Monash Health for their commitment, passion and leading the nation in nephrology nursing. Their work would not be possible without the support from the Director of Nephrology, Professor Peter Kerr and the Director of Clinical Operations, Jenny Soding.
