14 Jun Monash Health doctors FRACS success
Congratulations to Dr Asiri Arachichi, Dr Chandika Wewelwala, Dr Wei Mou Lim and Dr Simon Bazaadut who recently passed their Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) Part 2 General Surgery exams.
This achievement gives Monash Health General Surgery a 100% pass rate in the exams, exceeding the national pass rate of approximately 60%, and maintains General Surgery’s reputation as the destination health service for surgical training.
This was the first time the examination had taken place at Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
The examiners commended our team of registrars, residents and nursing staff, led by Mr Mark Cullinan FRACS, for their hard work and professionalism in organising over 45 consumers to participate.
The achievement is a testament to the four doctors and Sarah Martin FRACS for her tireless work in driving surgical training and education.
Congratulations to all involved.
