Mindfulness, Relaxation and Meditation sessions

Monash Care is pleased to present a series of five Mindfulness, Relaxation and Meditation sessions in May to celebrate Mindful in May.

During Health and Wellbeing Week in March there were a number of presentations around relaxation and mindfulness.  Feedback was so positive that more presentations have been coordinated in May under Monash Care, Monash Health’s complete Health and Wellbeing Commitment to you.  Presenters include Associate Professor Craig Hassed, Jad Patrick and Rebecca Max.

Craig Hassed

Associate Professor Craig Hassed is renowned as a pioneer for the use of mindfulness meditation within the medical world and beyond. Not only does he teach his students to use it within their medical practice, but he also encourages mindfulness for their personal use as a means of reducing stress and promoting focus during exams and study.

Rebecca Max

Rebecca is a qualified meditation and relaxation teacher.  She is passionate about cultivating more supportive cultures and empowering people to understand how to manage self, manage stress and understand wellbeing, She is qualified in Human +Resources and in a great position to understand the complexities in organisations and how meditation and relaxation can support stressors encountered.

Jad Patrick

As a mindfulness teacher Jad incorporates meditation and mindfulness exercises into his work  as a naturopath and counsellor and finds it helps his patients with issues such as stress, anxiety, cravings, depression, chronic pain and coping with difficult emotional experiences.
