Go-Live Two at Clayton

EMR Go-Live Two is now just one week away, and momentum is building across our teams at Monash Medical Centre, Monash Children’s Hospital and Jessie McPherson Private Hospital.

Thank you for the significant amount of work completed to get ‘Go-Live ready’, and embrace this new way of working.  Getting to this point has been the result of hard work, co-operation and determination.

Now is the time to focus on your preparation.  Being EMR-proficient prior to Go-Live will play a major role in delivering safe and efficient patient care and there are a number of activities you and your teams can undertake to contribute to a safe and smooth Go-Live.

Attend Favourites Fair (Doctors and Nursing Practitioners)

These half hour sessions will save you hours at Go-Live by giving you the chance to set up your regularly used orders and auto-text templates in advance.

Attend Logon Events (all other employees)

A Super User will help you test your logon credentials, ensure you have the correct access and make sure you are ready to go on Day One. This only takes a few minutes. If you would like the team to visit your work area, please contact Emma West: emma.west@monashhealth.org

Complete training

Scheduled EMR training for Go-Live Two is now finished.  If you have not completed training – please speak to your manager as soon as possible. Training is mandatory prior to Go-Live.

Undertake proficiency and practise

Remember, completing training is just the beginning. Working through practise scripts (available in bite-sized pieces on the EMR website) will help you consolidate your knowledge and ensure you are EMR proficient.

We have heard from our Dandenong and Cranbourne colleagues about how the above activities ensured they were ready on Day One.  I encourage you to continue your EMR learning journey to enable you to feel confident and comfortable when we Go-Live.

Thank you again for your ongoing commitment and enthusiasm. I look forward to continuing the safe and smooth transition of the EMR at Monash Health.

Regards,

Andrew Stripp
