7th Annual Monash Health Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Conference

On Thursday 19th September, Monash Health held the 7th Annual Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Conference. We were delighted to be joined by two keynote speakers – Dr Christian Osadnik presenting “Evaluation and Impact of Frailty in Patients with Acute Exacerbations of COPD” and Dr Paul Jansons  presenting “Effectiveness and Efficacy of Gym versus Home-based Exercise Intervention with Telephone Follow up for Adults with Chronic Health Conditions”.

It was a wonderful celebration with over 150 Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologists coming together to share the outcomes of recent innovation and research projects with poster and oral presentations from across the continuum of care. A big thank you to all staff who contributed to making the day a huge success, either through presentation or behind the scenes. Informal feedback indicated that the conference is improving every year, and formal evaluation demonstrated a very high satisfaction rate from attendees.

Congratulations also to our inaugural award winners:

  • Liz Dalla Santa – most outstanding oral presentation
  • Georgina Whish-Wilson – most outstanding lightening presentation
  • Kit Lester – most outstanding poster
